BIO

Tatiana (Tati) Nuñez - originally from South Florida, is a generous and well‑rounded multi‑disciplinary artist currently based in NYC. She is recognized for her profound physical instrument that articulates at the highest level in the techniques of ballet/pointe, tap dance, and contemporary.

Before moving to New York City, Tati spent her youth studying dance at performing arts schools; Bak Middle School of the Arts and Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts under the direction of Heather Lescaille. During her time at Dreyfoos she performed works by Peter Stark, Solomon Dumas, Darrell Moultrie, Troy Powell, Ricardo Pena, Freddie Moore, and Garry Q. Lewis. She also had the opportunity to dance the lead role (Kitri) in the ballet Don Quixote.

Tati was very fortunate to grow up and train at That’s Dancing run by her mentors Andrea LaMaina and Michele Walsh for an honorable 15 years. That’s Dancing, unlike most, has a heavy concentration in tap dance. Studio owner, Andrea LaMaina started the SoFlo Tap Festival in 2014. This festival gave her the necessary exposure and the opportunity to learn first hand from iconic/legendary tap dancers from around the world, including Michele Dorrance, Anthony Morigerato, Melinda Sullivan, Nicholas Van Young, Dianne Walker, Brenda Buffalino, Barbara Duffy, Acia Gray, Ayodele Casel and many more. Tati was also chosen to be a part of a select group of dancers to join the Soflo Youth Tap Ensemble and was given the opportunity to act as the Dance Captain/Ensemble while rehearsing works by Aaron Tolson and Christopher Broughton.

She also trained at the Joffrey Ballet School and Alvin Ailey  summer intensive with a full scholarship and trained at Ballet Hispánico with a merit scholarship. Tatiana was also selected to study and further her training at The School at Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Program, Bounce! Summer Intensive, Pre-Professional Dancer Institute, NYCDA Winter Intensive, Dorrance Dance Winter Intensive, So Flo Tap Festival, The Jared Grimes Workshop, and Tisch Summer Residency with Gibney, Evidence Dance, Alvin Ailey, and David Dorfman Dance Company.

Tati received her B.F.A. in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her intro to Social Media and Marketing started her last year at NYU when she became a Social Media/Marketing Intern for BalletCollective alongside Founder and Artistic Director Troy Schumacher. She worked for the company from 2022 to 2024 working her way up to Social Media/Marketing Coordinator! She is also the former Social Media Director for Kanyok Arts Initiative (KAI).

Tati is signed with CESD Talent Agency (NY) and is proudly represented by Sofia Morrow-Schap and Rebecca Lampiasi for Theater/Dance and is also signed with CESD Models/Print NY and represented by Catherine Marshall for PARTS modeling.

Recently, Tati made her Broadway debut in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway and is currently performing as a Female Ensemble Dancer/Anthill Lady Track!
